Here at Curvy Kate “‘we don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we are serious about what we do”.
After over three years of development, our first ever Sports Bra ‘Everymove’ has launched!! We are beyond excited that our range has now expanded to include support for F-K cup customers, helping them boost their confidence and break through their barrier to any sporting activity.
When developing the Everymove Sports Bra for the fuller bust market, the key Sports Bra problems our design team looked to address were:
- Breast bounce - Moulded styles that users often reported back they could still feel their breasts bouncing inside
- Straps that could not be adjusted enough for all bodies and sizes
- Wiring that digs in or you can feel during activity
- Bras that feel like they wear us (like armour), not like we are wearing them
- Bras that did not fit well or felt frumpy
- Labels that itched or were poorly positioned on the bra
From concept to product release, there have been 76 fit development samples produced before our Design Team signed off the final version. The construction of Everymove involves 22 components, 20 pattern pieces and takes 44 sewing operations. This is a sports bra with some SERIOUS research and development behind it and as a company we are amazingly proud of the results.
Throughout the fit testing period, there were 13 wear testers involved in the process ranging in size from 30F to 36K and 40J. The reaction from our wearers has been outstandingly positive and has centred around them not feeling the bra on them and not feeling restricted. Our wearers could lounge or exercise in Everymove, it’s that comfortable!
