Growing up I always had a fuller bust from my boobs jiggling in non-structured swimming costumes trying to get my blue ribbon, and giving up football because the boys were no longer looking at the ball to gaping shirt buttons trying their hardest to conceal my growing bust.

When I was 15 my mum took me for a bra fitting and I cried for a week after. I felt frumpy, huge and violated by the judgmental woman with cold hands and the bright strip lighting of the store. I promise you, it doesn’t have to be like this!
Once you have had a professional bra fitting, it is time to choose the right bra for you and school shirts are pretty much always white with lots of buttons to reach around the bust! To begin with a properly fitting bra, will lift and encapsulate the breast tissue which will offer a neater fit under clothing. White shirts can often be see-through and so look for a bra which compliments your skin tone and also offers a little coverage over the nipple area so something which is either double mesh, light foam moulded/padded or microfibre.
My top back to school bras are…

Wearing a bra for a first time can feel liberating but sometimes a little firm, just go with it! As you wash and wear the bra it will loosen up, but keep checking the signs of a badly fitting bra as you may grow over the months and it might be time to get a new bra! It is best to have a bra fitting every 6 months through out your life to keep you feeling amazing and supported at all times!
